CANDLELIGHT CAROLS AT TRINITY CHURCH

When you move to a new place, you leave a lot behind.  The best way to compensate is to create new traditions. Christmas is a very special time of year.  For me the holiday season starts around mid-November, so though I do go back to Detroit for the actual holidays, I don’t spend most of the season there.  One of my new traditions is attending the Candlelight Carols concert at Trinity Church in Boston’s Copley Square.  The choir is wonderful and the program is an interesting mix of favorite songs we all know like, Hark! The Harold Angels Sing and Silent Night, with more obscure (at least to me) pieces like a fourteenth century French carol, and even a Nigerian carol!  Trinity Church is amazing, one of those places you just feel when you enter the space.  The spirit of the season and the beautiful music combine for a wonderful evening.  I tried to capture the beauty of the architecture, but frankly these photos don’t do it justice!
